Split Flat Plate Solar Water Heater: Energy-Efficient Smart Water Heating Solution
A split flat plate solar water heater is a kind of water heater that installs a solar flat plate collector and storage tank separately, the collector absorbs the heat from the sun and transmits the heat to the storage tank through pipeline transmission and heats the water for daily use.
Working Principle
Heat collection process: The flat plate collector absorbs solar radiation energy and uses the heat-absorbing plate to conduce and transfer the heat energy to the flow medium (usually water or antifreeze).
Circulation mechanism: through the temperature difference control system, the circulation pump transfers the medium from the collector to the water tank, the heat is accumulated in the water tank, and the medium is cooled and returned to the collector to be heated.
Hot water supply: hot water from the storage tank is supplied to the domestic hot water system either through a heat exchanger or directly, ensuring 24/7 hot water demand.
Components
Flat plate collector: Copper or aluminum is used as the heat absorbing material, coated with a selective absorption coating, which has high thermal conductivity and corrosion resistance, with an efficiency of over 80%.
Tank design: the interior is usually made of stainless steel or enamel material, and the outer thickened thermal insulation layer can reduce heat loss; the tank capacity can be customized according to the demand, ranging from 100L to 500L.
Circulation system: including medium circulation pump and pipeline, using intelligent temperature control, through the water pump will be heated medium from the collector to the water tank.
Control system: A high-efficiency intelligent controller, real-time monitoring of the temperature difference between the collector and the water tank, and automatic starting and stopping of the pump to ensure that the hot water system operates in the best condition.
Features and Advantages
Efficient use of solar energy: through selective heat-absorbing coatings and high conductive materials, the collector efficiency is greatly improved; it can achieve a fast heating effect on sunny days and has an auxiliary heating function on cloudy days.
Flexible installation location: Separate tank and collector design allows the tank to be installed indoors, e.g. under the roof or in a mechanical room, and the collector to be installed on a well-lit roof, maximizing the use of solar energy.
Anti-freezing and weather-resistant design: The system uses antifreeze as the medium to prevent freezing of the downpipe in cold weather; the material is UV and corrosion-resistant to adapt to various weather conditions.
Split flat plate solar water heater is an efficient, environmentally friendly, and sustainable hot water supply solution for many types of buildings and usage scenarios. It not only helps to reduce the energy expenditure of a home or business but also effectively reduces carbon emissions.
